Luminița Dobrescu, the winner of the 1969 edition, will have this year a double role – member of the jury and performer – on the Festival stage.
Besides the experience of the Golden Stag Festival, the artist represented Romania at prestigious international festivals (Sofia, Bratislava, Sopot) and released some songs that became hits: „Doar băieţii sunt de vină” (1966), „Dragostea-i un val de mare” (1967), „Ia din viaţă ce-i frumos” (1968), „Dacă nu iubeşti” (1968), „Of, inimioară” (1969), „Îndrăgostiţii n-au nevoie de cuvinte” (1969), „Câtă dragoste” (1969), „De ce?” (1970) etc. In 1970, Luminița Dobrescu settled abroad, where she continued her musical career.
“The invitation of the Romanian Television to participate in the jury of the Golden Stag International Festival is a special moment for me. I start to experience again those emotions, both for the competitors and for my own participation, this time doubled by the presence in the international jury.
